I am just hoping that there is a file copy software out there that does CRC File Verification with less bugs / annoying quirks to it. Overall I like TeraCopy and with some minor workarounds it does meet my needs. TeraCopy is a good program, but if you compare it with other file copy programs, TeraCopy’s drawbacks become obvious. But TeraCopy isn’t the only Windows copy program and it’s certainly not the best. I emailed the developers about this odd fact, and never received a response from them. It is the most recommended Windows alternative file copy program. Any time I want to maximize the window, I have to manually adjust the size of the window. For whatever reason, I cannot maximize the program window.So far, this is only a cosmetic bug, but still one that causes confusion with certain users. This results in the overall progress bar showing percentages much much higher than 100% when it finishes verifying the files. Often when completing the verification phase, TeraCopy will suddenly 'forget' how large the overall file copy operation was and tell itself that it was a much smaller number. This was tested across multiple versions of TeraCopy, across multiple computers. When asking TeraCopy to move files, it frequently fails all over the place and results in many files corrupted, incomplete or unusable.
I can only ever copy files successfully, not move them. Published JComments ( 158) If you do any serious file copying on a Windows system, you'll quickly discover that there are substantial limitations to the default file copier.Microsoft did an incredible job retooling their internal copy code, which does lots of adaptive configuration now inclduing async copying, adjusting buffer sizes based on SMB version and the exact type of network media (eg. Both TC and FastCopy are slower than robocopy out of the box. The only reason I use TC is because of its file verification ability speed of copy is a much lower concern. provide no speed benefits on W7 and newer. I use TeraCopy for all of my large file transfers, whether that means large file size or simply a large amount of files.
